Zeth Brower 2010 State Champ!

Three South Medford wrestlers made the trip to this years competitive Oregon Collegiate State Championships. Zeth Brower took advantage of his opporunity to claim gold in dominating fasion after rival Joey Coste moved up a wieght class. Zeth recorded 4 tech-falls and two pins including a first round pin of 3rd place finisher Anthony Kran leading up to his championship match where he dominated  Jeremey Lebrado by the score of 9-2. Also competing were Brooke Brower and Mathew Bryant. Brooke wrestled tough competing in the boys state championship leaving with a record of 1-2 with her losses coming by decision to the 4th(Michale Murphy) and 6th( Terran Lbolt) place finishers. Mathew Recorded two victories in the competition before falling to eventual state champion Ethan Hayes and 6th place finisher Hunter Sparks.

Oregon Classic 2010

 Justin Josephson Wins, Browers' earn tough fought 2nd Places

 Justin Josephson garnered up a first Place finish at the 2010 Oregon wrestling classic. Justin persevered through some very competeive matches to come away with the 60lb bantam crown. Siblings Zeth and Brooke Brower both finished in the runner up position. Brooke who competed in the Girls Classic tournament was quick to avenge her only defeat of the tournament with a dominate  performance in an exhibition match which took place the same day. Brother Zeth dominated all his matches leading up to his championship bout against  the nations top ranked wrestler in Joey Coste.  Zeth gave his full effort against Coste but was unable to take out the little "man-child". Other wrestlers competing include: Mathew Bryant who went 2-2 with his only defeats coming to two of the top three finishers in his wieght class, Domanic Mendolia who reached the second day with a tough fought 1-2  performance, Brian Josephson finished 1-2 earning a victory in his first classic appearance, Von Frasier went 0-2 in the tournament but gained valuable experience that will help him in his wrestling career.
